Tracy slowly and methodically took control of this game as they opened up a 28-6 lead through 3 quarters, but the Bulldogs had to fight, scrape, and claw to claim victory as they saw Kimball put up 20 points on them in the final 9 minutes of the game.
Kimball wasted no time bringing out the Halloween tricks as they started the game with an onside kick recovery. It would ultimately be the first of four recoveries on the night that would plague Tracy. Fortunately on the first one, the Tracy defense held on four downs.
Tracy would get on the board with 4:23 left in the first when David Grisham scored the first of two touchdowns on a 38 yard run. The extra point by Scott Paterson made it 7-0. Paterson would make good on 3 more extra points later in the game.
Tracy struck gold with 10 seconds left in the quarter as Kimball was marching towards a score. Jayden Ballard-McClellan picked off a pass at the 3 yard line and returned it 97 yards to give Tracy a 14-0 lead.
Kimball responded early in the 2nd quarter on a 12 yard touchdown pass. The extra point attempt was blocked by Max Moore to make it 14-6.
Jeno Lawhorn recovered a Kimball onside kick and then propelled himself another 28 yards to put Tracy in good starting field position for their next drive. Brady Brown would then score to put Tracy up very comfortably at 21-6.
Tracy would get another chance to add on before the half with a 37 yard field goal but it came up about a foot short. The Dogs entered the Locker room feeling pretty good about the game leading 21-6.
With the defense continuing to make stops, Tracy would score with 2:18 left in the 3rd on a Grisham 16 yard rushing touchdown to give the Dogs a comfortable 28-6 lead.
The momentum of the contest shifted dramatically with 8:49 left in the game when Kimball connected on a 52 yard touchdown pass to draw closer at 28-12.
On the next drive, Tracy would fumble near midfield and Kimball made the Dogs pay with a 41 yard touchdown strike. The 2 point pass conversion now made it 28-20.
With the onside kick working in their favor, Kimball got another one and worked their way down to the 3 yard line until the Tracy defense pushed them back.
With 2:22 left, Kimball turned up the heat in the game with a 60 yard touchdown pass. Tracy broke up the 2 point conversion that would have tied the game. Tracy now held a fragile 28-26 lead.
Kimball then collected their 4th successful onside kick causing the defense to promptly return to the field. The Dogs would hold on this possession but the Tracy offense was unable to move the ball to close out the game. Tracy would need one more stop with time expiring to finally pull the plug on the determined Jaguars.

RAMS PASS GAME TOO MUCH FOR DOGS

The Rams won their 25th in a row vs Tracy on Friday night in easy fashion and a lot of it was done in the air as they dissected the Tracy defense. Tracy looked like they were going to give the Rams a game early as David Goularte and Brady Brown got off to a great offensive start on the first series, but after posting six on the board, the Rams locked down anymore Bulldog momentum throughout much of the night.
"I'm proud of our character tonight and especially how we finished," said Coach Pribble. "We just had too many wide open plays against us in the first half."
"We know the task at hand now which is Kimball next week. We have to earn our right to get in the playoffs. We don't want just a bowl game, we want the #7 or #8 seed so we will be playing with a purpose. We owe it to our seniors to excel and get the best outcome possible for the playoffs."

After losing the 2024 Homecoming game 40-0 vs Edison last year, Tracy wanted to make sure things were different this year. The Dogs had a lot to play for tonight. There was the huge turnout in the stands, there was the school spirit, an important league game, and they were playing for the memory of Kane Stroup's grandfather who had recently passed.
Coach Pribble was extremely proud of his team postgame. "We have been taking on the challenges of these big games and big teams. Our kids have shown a lot of growth over the past month and we have been practicing really well. I love the effort from our younger guys whose voices are being heard and the leadership that is generated from our Seniors."
"I have nothing but respect for Lincoln as they gave us really good game," said Pribble. "Tonight we battled for each other. Big players have big plays in big games and our defense shined and our offensive stars like Goularte, Godoy, Brown, and our backs were difference makers."
Game Summary:
With 4:51 left in the first quarter Tracy got on the board first with a 19 yard touchdown pass from Brady Brown to David Goularte. It would be the first of two touchdowns and an overall impactful game by Goularte.
Lincoln showed they had a run game early scoring with relative ease marching down the field ending with a 15 yard run. The extra point hit the left upright and the score was Lincoln 6 - Tracy 7.
The game entered the flag stage at this point as there were many stoppages of play as things got chippy and sloppy. The quarter ended 7-6.
With Tracy pushed back to their goal line due to penalties, Brady Brown ran for 51 yards to give Tracy solid field position. With 7:15 left in the quarter, Brown connected with Tight End Maxwell Moore for a short pass that Moore ran 24 yards to the end zone. The extra point was blocked but Tracy had a 13-6 lead.
Brown came up with another touchdown strike with 3:44 left in the half as he found Juan Godoy over the middle on a beautifully thrown ball to make it 20-6 on the extra point by Scott Paterson.
With time winding down in the half, Lincoln was able to get to the 5 yard line, but the Tracy defense held on four consecutive plays to close out the half.
20-6 Halftime
Lincoln came out focused in the 2nd half and quickly scored on a 45 yard touchdown pass with 10:57 left in the quarter. The 2 point conversion was no good. Lincoln 12 - Tracy 20.
Tracy's first series of the 2nd half was messy and they gave Lincoln the ball back quickly and the Trojans made them pay with a 58 yard pass to the one yard line. The Trojans tied the game 20-20 at this point on a 3 yard touchdown pass and a 2 point pass conversion. 6:25 left in the quarter.
At the 6:18 mark of the 3rd, Brown threw another perfect pass to a well covered and leaping Goularte in the end zone. The highlight reel catch put Tracy up once again 27-20.
With 2:48 left in the third, Goularte kept his name in print with a fumble recovery at the Lincoln 40. The ball had been stripped by TJ Fonua. From there David Grisham immediately rushed down the Tracy sidelines for a 40 yard touchdown extending the ball at the pylon. The Paterson extra point made it 34-20.
With 45 seconds left in the 3rd, Goularte had an interception in the end zone to keep the score at 34-20.
With 9:49 left in the game, Grisham had his 2nd rushing touchdown, this time on a 53 yard run. 41-20.
The Tracy defense held the Trojans on the next series and then Brown decided it was his turn to find the end zone as he dodged the Trojan defense and scored on a 45 yard run. The extra point made it 48-20.
Lincoln would get one final score on a 17 yard touchdown pass. The extra point was no good and the scoring in this game would end at 48-26.

The Tracy defense limited the Lodi ground game to just 63 yards on the night and the Bulldog offense led by David Grisham and Brady Brown on the ground kept the ball moving down the field as Tracy would get four scores on the evening to defeat the Flames.
Brown would propel Tracy to a comfortable 21-0 lead at the half with two touchdowns of his own and one pass to Maddix Severson. The Dogs would get their fourth score right at the start of the 3rd quarter when Grisham broke free for a 74 yard run.
Coach Pribble was proud of his team after the victory on Friday vs the Flames. "We have been through a grinder the last several weeks and we came out of it okay and the win tonight validated some things we have been working on and brought us more confidence. I like the pride and dedication we have been showing in practice and this game. We need to see it continue. We still have some things to clean up as we prepare for a pass heavy Lincoln squad coming in here next week" said Pribble.
On the first Lodi series, the defense produced a fumble and Jakari Brice recovered at the Lodi 39. The momentum would be momentary as Lodi picked off the first pass from Brady Brown of the game. The defense held and once again the special teams play continued to be top notch as Ryan Foster blocked a punt and claimed the ball at the Lodi 10.
Brown would score on the ground from 1 yard out with 8:12 remaining in the quarter. The extra point by Scott Paterson made it 7-0.
With 6:01 left in the first quarter, Brown connected with Maddix Severson on a 12 yard slant route to go up 14-0.
With the defense keeping Lodi in check, Tracy would score their third touchdown on a 21 yard keeper by Brady Brown with 6:41 left in the half. Earlier in the drive, Case Borges allowed Tracy to keep the ball when he sensed trouble getting a punt away and scrambled along the Tracy sidelines for a first down.
Leading 21-0, Tracy wasted no time in scoring their 4th and final touchdown when on the first play from scrimmage of the 3rd quarter, David Grisham broke free for a 74 yard touchdown.
The Bulldog defense pitched a shutout until 23 seconds left in the game when Lodi scored on a 15 yard touchdown pass. The extra point was no good. 28-6.

DOGS TAKE FIRST LOSS IN LEAGUE

On a cool Fall evening in Stockton, Tracy started league against the very physical Edison Vikings. Tracy came out ready to play with Ryan Foster disrupting the first play from scrimmage and stripping the ball in the backfield and then recovering the fumble. Unfortunately the Tracy drive would quickly stall.
At the 9:44 mark of the first quarter, Tracy got a taste of the athleticism of the Vikings as the Dogs defense was shredded for a 63 yard touchdown to make it 6-0. The Vikings would get two more scores in the quarter to mount an 18-0 lead entering the 2nd quarter.
With 6:17 left in the half, David Grisham muscled his way across the goal line from 3 yards out with some help from his line to make it 18-6.
The half would end with Edison tacking on a 32 yard field goal to make it 21-6.
At the start of the 3rd, Tracy came out with energy as Grisham had an inspiring 12 yard run as he took on the majority of the Edison defenders himself. This was followed shortly by a beautiful pass play from the Tracy 46 where Brady Brown found David Goularte in stride over the middle at the Edison 38 for a 54 yard touchdown. Goularte got some help at the end from some good blocking by Juan Godoy at the goal line. This put the score at 21-12.
Edison then assembled one of their longest drives of the game as they battled a good defensive showing by Tracy but slowly and methodically scored with 3:34 left in the quarter. 28-12.
In the 4th, Edison kicked another field goal and then Tracy would fumble giving Edison the opportunity to score again on a 30 yard run. 38-12.
With 4:07 left in the game, Brady Brown found Goularte for his 2nd touchdown of the game on a 27 yard pass to the end zone. The extra point by Scott Paterson ended the scoring at 38-19.
Coach Pribble addressed the team postgame after the loss. "On defense we had some issues in open space tonight with their top athletes. Offensively we need to improve our blocking and sustain our drives so we can stay on the field longer. Our passing game looked pretty good and our pass protection was very good. I saw numerous examples of good hits and gang tackles. Ultimately I'm looking forward to the next four weeks of positive play and making the playoffs," said Coach Pribble.
Tracy now sets their sights on the Lodi Flames who will come to Wayne Schneider Stadium next Friday.
