The defense played great and touchdowns by Cameron Ross-Escobar and Mason Meyers were all Tracy needed. Ross Escobar got the first score of the game on a 4 yard run with 6 minutes left in the first quarter. The 2 point conversion was no good. The game stayed 6-0 until late in the 2nd quarter when St. Mary's scored on a 41 yard pass and took a 7-6 lead. As the defense kept the Rams in check for the balance of the game, Mason Meyers scored with 28 seconds left in the game. He then added two more on the conversion. The defense held on the final Rams series to preserve the victory.
JV will likely play at Manteca next Friday because Lodi does not have a JV team.
Tracy scored once in the first on a 76 yard Mason Meyers rushing TD (pictured above) and then with 5 minutes left in the game when Cameron Ross-Escobar carried it in from three yards out. That bit of offense along with some good defense kept the Vikings off the board on a Saturday replacement game for the JV at Tracy High.
Ross-Escobar was 3 of 7 for 18 yards in the air and he rushed for 136 yards on 14 carries, plus his late game score. Meyers led all players with 136 yards on 14 touches.
