For the THIRD year in a row, the Juniors executed an upset over the Seniors in the annual Powder Puff game. This time the game went to overtime after a 0-0 regulation ending. Quickly in OT, Junior ReAnna Zuniga caught an Elisa Galli touchdown pass for the go ahead score and then as the Seniors tried to tie the game, Zuniga intercepted a pass attempt near the goal line to seal the game at 6-0.

Tracy showed they can compete with the upper crust of the Section as they battled a physical Rocklin team deep into the 4th quarter on Friday at Wayne Schneider Stadium. With Rocklin opening a big lead early in the 3rd quarter, Tracy did not give up and battled back from 28-7 to keep it close down to the end.
Tracy finished the first half of their season 4-1 and feeling confident going into a Homecoming Week league opener against Lincoln at home.
Scoring Summary:
After Tracy goes three and out on the opening drive, Rocklin puts together a long drive burning a lot of first quarter clock with runs up the middle to go up 7-0 with 4:49 left.
In the 2nd quarter a promising Tracy drive is halted at the goal line by Rocklin. Tracy would eventually get the ball back as the defense comes up big to keep Rocklin at the 2 yard line and force a punt.
Tracy would then get on the board with a run by Daniel Chavez up the middle with 4:53 before the half to make it 7-7. More solid Tracy defense allows the Bulldogs to touch the ball again on offense before the half. Unfortunately a completed pass is coughed up and put in the hands of Rocklin near midfield.
In what was the play of the game for Rocklin, the Thunder facing a 4th down with 35 seconds left scrambles wildly and completes a touchdown pass in the back of the end zone with double coverage taking some life out of Tracy entering the half 14-7.
3rd Quarter - Rocklin comes out on fire in the 2nd half and starts off with a long kickoff return to the Tracy 28. A 3 yard run makes it 21 -7 quickly.
Rocklin keeps the offense going with an 11 yard touchdown pass with 5:05 left to make it 28-7.
Tracy showed heart as they did not falter at this point and went to work putting the ball in the hands of David Goularte with a 43 yard tocuhdown pass from Aidan Van Os with 3:17 left in the third.
Trailing 28-14, Shemmy kicks his famous spinner on the kickoff and Tracy recovers near midfield. With 26 seconds left Chavez makes a nice catch down in the Red Zone of Rocklin.
4th Quarter - Tracy is unable to get in for a score and turns the ball over on downs early in the 4th.
Wtih 7:39 left, Rocklin fumbles and Tracy takes over at their own 40. With 4:48 Tommy Hayes scores on a run up the middle to pull Tracy to within seven, 28-21. This would complete the scoring in the game as Rocklin worked the clock down the field and moved the chains.
In his postgame comments to his team Coach Pribble told his team to keep their heads high as they should be proud of how they fought against a good team and did not give up when they were down by 21. He stressed the importance of preparing for Lincoln as league play commences next Friday.
